CRAIG ROBINSON VETS COMPLETED

Our project for Craig Robinson Vets is now complete and open for business!  The new veterinary surgery on Wigton Road, Carlisle, provides 4 consulting rooms, operating theatre, preparation rooms and X-ray facilities as well as a large welcoming reception waiting area with staff facilities.  Four residential flats are sited on the on the upper floor, each comprising of 1 or 2 bedrooms that are available for private rental accommodation.

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS IN PRACTICE

Architects Plus celebrates 30 years in practice!   Established on 13th August 1988 by founding partners Raymond Whittaker, Richard Jefferson, David Lamond, Tom Langlands and John Carruthers, the firm has been at the forefront of some of Cumbria’s most enterprising building schemes. Under the current directors David Blair, Christian Judd and Barbara Gower, the practice continues to work on a number of exciting and important architectural and strategic projects both locally and nationally.

LABC AWARDS WINNER

Linstock Barn was awarded Winner of the LABC Northern Building Excellence Award for Best Change of Use of an Existing Building or Conversion.  Architects Plus were extremely pleased to receive the award alongside developer, McKnight & Son Builders.  The project will now join other regional winners for the Grand Final to be held in November at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel, London.

LABC BUILDING EXCELLENCE AWARDS SHORTLIST 2018

We are pleased to announce ‘Linstock Barn’ and ‘Houghton C of E School‘ have been shortlisted for an LABC Northern Building Excellence Award.  Our new build hotel project ‘Lodge at Solent’ is also up for an LABC South East Building Excellence Award.  Directors Christian Judd and Barbara Gower will be attending the awards event in Gateshead later this year.

HOUGHTON C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL OPENING CEREMONY

Houghton C of E Primary School, near Carlisle, was officially opened on Monday by Councillor John Bell, Chairman of Cumbria County Council. Architects Plus have greatly enjoyed working on this £1.4m project, which has increased the capacity of the school with two new classrooms, a new kitchen and an enlarged school hall.
