Architects Plus developed a striking design for a new Sandgate Special Educational Needs School (SEN) within the grounds of Queen Katherine Secondary School, Kendal.

Architects Plus has gained invaluable knowledge of SEN Special Educational Needs School projects over recent years and involvement in this project has further enhanced the knowledge we are able to provide.

Following on from a feasibility study which identified the site and initial brief as prepared by another consultant,  Architects Plus progressed the design in accordance with government guidance document; Building Bulletin BB102: Disabled children and children with SEN.  A series of user group meetings were held to progress the room and specialist equipment requirements and these were 3D modelled and coordinated to the latest BIM (Building Information Model) standards.
