The Crown Hotel, Wetheral

Architects Plus oversaw the design and implementation stages required to complete the construction of 10 additional premium guest bedrooms alongside a comprehensive refurbishment of the hotel leisure club and spa.  Two Edwardian cottages within the curtilage of the site were converted to form the new bedrooms.  Refurbishment of the leisure club required substantial internal re-configuration to provide a welcoming leisure club reception lounge, new ground floor gym, disabled WC, refurbished changing rooms and pool hall.  The works were completed to a limited programme.

Architects Plus asked interior designer, Sacha Dunnett to help create an impressive  interior look and feel with includes three subtly different interior schemes for the classic, executive and superior rooms.  Natural colours and fabrics were chosen to interpret the idyllic village setting with created artwork to depict notable historical, literary and leisure associations of the area.
