Victoria Wood, Associate Architect

Victoria Wood is an architect with a specialism for delivering holistic, sustainable designs that are built upon client engagement and inclusive, sustainable design responses.  Her architectural experience is truly global, having worked in south-east Asia on community focused projects, in Australia…..and Yorkshire!  This has given Victoria a deep routed understanding of place and context which influences each and every design solution.  In 2016 Victoria joined Architects Plus as an architect and has been involved in a wide range of residential, commercial, education and community projects, playing a central role in delivering the Bluebell House project and 4-5 Paternoster Row, both of which showcase the practice’s approach to good sustainable design.

Andrew Stevens, Associate Architect

Andrew has extensive architectural experience throughout the UK. His career has seen his involvement in several multimillion-pound projects in and around Edinburgh including large scale residential, education and NHS commissions.  Andrew’s most recent work has included the design and delivery of both new build and refurbishment commercial hotel developments, as well as commercial offices, manufacturing sites and special educational needs schools.

Christian Judd, Director

Prior to joining Architects Plus (UK) Ltd in 2008, Christian had worked for a variety of architectural practices throughout the UK. He specialised in hotel and leisure projects, and was most notably responsible for the timeshare development at The Gleneagles Hotel delivered between 2001 and 2008. He became a Director of Architects Plus (UK) Ltd in 2011 and since this time he has been responsible for a diverse range of projects. Christian’s design proposals for the Ullswater Yacht Club and the Derwent Close Project, Keswick have received national acclaim, the former beating 180 other entrants to win an international competition organised by the RIBA. He is currently the Framework Manager for the Cumbria County Council Professional Services Framework 4.

Barbara Gower, Director

Barbara worked in a number of regional practices before joining Architects Plus (UK) Ltd in 2001, becoming a Director in 2011.  Barbara has extensive experience working with multiple funding organisations, meeting the requirements of housing, community, lottery and sports funding.  She has expertise in energy assessment, sustainable design and access auditing as well undertaking specialist Health & Safety roles.  Her schemes have frequently won regional awards for their design innovation and sustainability. Barbara is responsible for the practice’s Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
