Works to Eden Valley Hospice Completed

The proposals to extend Eden Valley Hospice, an existing facility to the south of Carlisle providing palliative and respite care, were a result of the current Hospice activities “out-growing” their existing building. A new 2 storey extension provides designated accommodation for the existing Outpatients Clinic and Counselling services as well as additional office space for Fund-Raising and Family Support services. The 2 storey extension was completed in April 2011 and with the availability of additional funding the contract was extended to include a Coffee Bar over the existing water court; a new Nurses Station area that included a new counter with a better relationship to the wards and a new Shop area adjacent to the main entrance. The Hospice is delighted with the new areas that have greatly improved their overall facilities and extended the range of services they are able to provide.
