Trout Hotel, Cockermouth

In November 2009 serious flooding hit Cumbria resulting in the main street in Cockermouth going under several feet of water. The Trout Hotel was affected badly with flood water entering new extension areas but also the old areas of the original building that date back several hundred years and are of particular historic importance. Architects Plus had been involved with alteration and extension works to the building previously and was commissioned to get the hotel trading again as quickly as possible.

The first four images in this gallery show the devastation caused by the flooding and the remainder show the hotel immediately after reopening in August 2010
